By accessing or using LancerFee at lancerfee.co, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

1. Service Description
LancerFee provides invoice management software for independent contractors and freelancers in the United States. Features include:
- Invoice creation, sending, and tracking
- Payment status monitoring via Stripe webhook
- Tax preparation integration with TaxClip
- 1099-NEC income tracking
2. Eligibility
- You must be 18 years or older
- Service is intended for US-based freelancers, independent contractors, and sole proprietors
- You must use the service for lawful business purposes only
3. Subscription & Billing
- Price: $14/month per account
- Free Trial: 14 days, no credit card required
- Billing: Processed through Stripe
- Cancellation: Cancel anytime from your dashboard settings
- After Cancellation: Access continues until end of current billing period
- Renewal Reminder: Email sent 3 days before charge
4. NOT Tax or Legal Advice
Important Notice
LancerFee is a software tool only. We do not provide tax advice, prepare or file tax returns, or act as your accountant or tax advisor. Always consult a qualified, licensed tax professional for 1099 filing and all tax-related decisions.
5. Your Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate business and invoice information
- Not use LancerFee for fraudulent invoices
- Keep your login credentials secure
- Comply with applicable US tax laws
6. Payment Processing
- LancerFee connects to each freelancer's personal Stripe account
- Client payments go directly to your Stripe account
- LancerFee never holds or transfers your client payments
- LancerFee only charges the $14/month subscription fee
7. Data & Privacy
Your invoice data belongs to you. We do not:
- Sell your data to third parties
- Access your Stripe payment funds
- Share client information without your consent

8. Data Portability
- Export all your data at any time
- Available formats: CSV and PDF
- 30-day data export window provided after account cancellation
9. Termination
- Cancel your account at any time from dashboard settings
- Access continues until end of current billing period
- Data deletion within 30 days of account deletion request
- Data export available before deletion
- We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms
10. Limitation of Liability
LancerFee is not liable for:
- Tax filing errors based on invoice data entered by the user
- IRS penalties or audits resulting from data in LancerFee
- Payment disputes between you and your clients
- Stripe service interruptions
- Data loss due to third-party service failures
11. Changes to Terms
We will notify you by email at least 14 days before any material changes to these terms.
